Call for Papers for the 24th International Conference on Chemistry in Nuclear Reactor Systems

NPC 2027, 3-8 October 2027, Ottawa, Canada

The NPC 2027 organizing committee is pleased to invite paper submissions to share the latest research findings in chemistry applicable to nuclear reactor systems. Selected papers will be presented at NPC 2027 as either an oral session or poster.  All selected papers will be eligible for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

Since 1998, the Nuclear Plant Chemistry Conference has hosted a Radiolysis and Electrochemistry workshop to coincide with the main conference.  Originally, this workshop was in response to a specific need to control redox potential in the reactor core.  The workshop has traditionally been held as a stand-alone meeting with separate registration.  For NPC 2023 and NPC 2025, the workshop was integrated as a parallel session in the main conference program.

Radiolysis and electrochemistry are key topics to reactor chemistry in all reactor types. For NPC 2027, the organizers felt that it was important to have papers on these topics available to all conference attendees.  Therefore, for NPC 2027 there will not be a separate workshop.  Instead, papers on these key topics will be integrated into the appropriate sessions (primary chemistry, advanced reactors, etc.) for broader understanding by the reactor chemistry community and will include keynote presentations highlighting the state-of-the-art.
